3 WAYS TO TASTE YOUR WAY THROUGH THE FESTIVAL

TASTEBAND WRISTBANDS

Taste of DC is going cashless for food & beverages this year! You will need a TasteBand to purchase food and beverage at the event! RFID technology makes it easier and faster for attendees to enter Taste of DC and purchase food and drinks—with just the touch of a wristband! Instead of using cash or credit cards, you will pay for your food and drinks by activating your “TasteBand” and loading additional “Taste Tokens” onto your TasteBand online at select TasteBand stations located throughout the festival.

Where do I pick-up my tasteband?

Guests will be able to pick-up TasteBand wristbands at the door. Make sure you have downloaded your ticket with barcode BEFORE you arrive and bring a valid photo ID.

Can i bring my dog with me to taste of dc?

We love pups! However, the venue only allows service animals.  Be sure to take a doggy bag of your favorite tastes home for them!

I want to upgrade or transfer my ticket, what do I do?

We're so excited about your interest in upgrading/transferring. It's super easy to upgrade your package through Eventbrite via https://www.eventbrite.com/myevents.

Can i bring my child to taste of DC?

Yes - we believe every child is a food critic in training!  

Kids need to pre-register, just like adults. As long as you're okay with them using your TasteBand for their food and beverage purchases, then they just need to be registered for free entry under their own names and your email. 

WILL I NEED ANY CASH OR CREDIT CARDS AT TASTE OF DC?

Nope! Taste of DC is a completely cashless event. All of our culinary, beverage, and artisan vendors will accept TasteTokens.

WHAT ARE "TASTE Tokens?"

"Taste Tokens" are the official currency at Taste of DC, and can be added to your TasteBand at multiple locations throughout the festival.
1 Taste Tokens = $1.00

When you purchase your ticket in advance, you will receive a General Admission TasteBand wristband that is pre-loaded with:

• TasteBand Packages include an RFID band pre-loaded with 1 complimentary drink + entry to the festival for an hour “pre-doors” + free bag and bike check ($5 value on a first come, first served basis)

• Foodie Packages include everything in the TasteBand package plus $30 of Taste Tokens pre-loaded to your TasteBand + exclusive seating at the Culinary Stage (limited seats available) + credit to future Drink the District event (value of $10)

where can i use taste tokens?

Tastes and sips throughout the festival, including on Restaurant Row, the Chase Lounge, at the Taste of DC Beer Garden will require Taste Tokens for their tastes and sips. Tastes range from 1-8 Taste Tokens, or $1-$8. Beverages range from 6-10 Taste Tokens, or $6-$10. The Artisan Market does not accept Taste Tokens. 

WHY CASHLESS RFID TASTEBANDS?

Taste of DC guests will experience a seamless and enhanced experience with the RFID technology. Benefits include:

• Faster food and beverage purchasing

• Less time in line

• Registered attendees will receive an email after the festival with a record of all the restaurants and sponsors they visited.

Guests will be able to pick-up your TasteBand at the door. Make sure you have downloaded your ticket with barcode BEFORE you arrive.

HOW DO I PURCHASE MORE TASTE TokenS AND LOAD CREDITS ONTO MY TASTEBAND?

Want more points for more tastes and beverages? No problem! It will be easy to pre-load your TasteBand at one of our many Taste Token Kiosks located inside Taste of DC.
